Description Wedding dress, champagne color silk satin and lace. Floral lace overdress with matching attached silk satin lining. Round, slightly scooped neckline on overdress with bias silk satin binding. Extended shoulder becomes extended elbow-length sleeve with silk satin binding trim that extends to waistline. Attached silk satin cummerbund that meets at right side opening with 4-snap closure. Lace skirt is made of front and back panels that are not sewn together at side seams. Hem of skirt has border panel of lace. Lining at bodice is camisole style with snaps at both side seams for fit. No labels.
Provenance Made and worn by donor's mother, Prudie Viola Rhinehart, for her wedding to Ferdinand Zwald on November 30th 1922. Wedding took place on the bride's parents' farm in Boone County, Iowa.
