Provenance Fabric was a gift to donor's mother from a family friend in Malaysia. Donor's mother had a dress made for Jane by a dressmaker in Wales. It was intended to be part of Jane's wedding trousseau and to wear for formal occasions in Ames (upon the advice from a cousin in Scranton, PA that it would be very dressy in Ames when she and her husband Philip started working at ISU)
