Pair of wedding shoes in cream colored leather with 1 1/4" louis heels; rounded point toe; beige cotton(?) lining; cotton piping around foot opening; leather strap over instep fastens with one white button. Silver metal buckles with "X" filagree border. Remnants of cotton and buckram bow attached over straps. Brown leather soles.
(a) Shoe has detached buckle. Buckle stored inside shoe (see condition tab for more detail).
(b) Shoe buckle still attached. Stored with silk(?) ribbons and shredded pieces of bow (see condition tab for more detail).
Belonged to the donor's grandmother, Cleone June Summers. Worn for October 19, 1910, wedding to Milton Dunlap in Charles City, Iowa. When worn at wedding, the shoes had flowers attached, but these were removed by donor per TCM request.
