Date 1898
Description Woman's two-piece dress (bodice and skirt); blue silk with plaid silk trimming. Worn as a wedding dress.
a) Bodice: blue silk; long sleeves; gathered plaid ruffles at front bodice and wrists; pleating at front and caps over sleeves; front hook and eye closure with inner lining and boning.
b) Skirt: blue silk; floor length; full circle paneled skirt; brown lining; velvet inner trim; 2 hook and eye closure at back waist.

Provenance Handmade and worn by Julia Karin Hawkinson for her wedding in 1898 to Carl Lindahl (see also man's coat 2008.53.2a-c). Portrait in Image Managment field is of Mr. & Mrs. Lindahl on their wedding day.
