|Description||Man's full skirt, part of Chinese court dress. Donor called this a "war lord" skirt. Black silk, heavily embroidered; turquoise color lining. Wrap style; vertical tucks throughout midsection. Multicolor embroidery includes repeating medallions and geometric patterns at hem, a dragon design and gold band just above tucks, and a gold band at hem that has black floral motifs.|

Owned by donor's stepmother, who is Chinese. She brought the skirt, a family heirloom, to the United States shortly after World War II.
