Description Wall hanging made by Hmong artisan feature a military conflict-inspired scene. Hand embroidered with images of a helicopter, airplane, truck, car, boat, two burning houses, river, thirteen people in Hmong traditional dress, four military people with guns, and four people swimming in river. Represents history of the diaspora of the Hmong people. Stitched on royal blue background with series of concentric borders including: 1/4" gray border, 1/4" white border, 1 1/2" pieced triangle border, 1/4" white border, 1/4" gray border and 2 3/4" blue border. Backed with coarse white cotton fabric. Embroidery thread colors include: black, white, yellow, four shades of green, brown, purple, gray, three tints of pinks and red.
